Youth Perceptions Survey: Employment and Employability in Tunisia

Undertaken against a backdrop of increasing international concern about the security situation in Tunisia, this survey was designed to measure the attitudes of youth towards their own prospects. 200 youths from three socially and economically marginalized neighborhoods of Tunis were surveyed between April 1st and April 30th 2016 to offer initial insights into their perceptions and experiences. The report outlines the preliminary findings in order to contribute to our wider study seeking to understand the root causes of insecurity, the rise of violent extremist groups, and youth disenfranchisement in Tunisia.
